The Portage Northern Marching Band is the "flagship" of the program. All students in the band program participate in our Competitive Marching program. The band competes around the state in the "Michigan Competing Bands Association" as well as the "Scholastic Bands" circuit. The emphasis of the program is to perform at the highest levels while entertaining audiences with engaging, musical, and visual stories. The season culminates with a State Finals performance at Ford Field, where the PNMB has placed 4th, 7th and 5th respectively in the last few years.
